I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Agidigm website.  When we formed Agidigm, we did so with the intention of creating a different type of consulting firm than currently existed in the market - whether or not we have succeeded will be determined by you, our customer.

There were many IT-focused consulting firms that existed prior to the formation of Agidigm.   And, truth be told, we had dealt with a number of them, either as a customer or representing other firms that were their customer(s).  Quite frankly, we were, in general, disappointed with the approach of the firms we met, both large and small, who were implementing IT-based technologies.

The primary issue that led us to form Agidigm was a belief that IT technologies had matured to the point that neither the individual or the organization should have to contort themselves to accommodate technology.   Rather, we believe that it is past the time when the technology should be accommodating the individual and the organization.  We believe that technology should truly be an "enabler" for the individual and the organization; that it is the technology that should adapt to the needs and requirements of the organization, both to facilitate and improve how individuals perform the tasks and procedures that make up their assigned duties, as well as providing the organization with a competitive "multiplier."

When we view the many projects, especially those sold on the basis of transforming how entire organizations perform, we have often wondered if those same organizations, or at least those charged with leading them, truly understood a fundamental question:  Was the accomplishment achieved worth the cost of doing so?   We have been involved in projects, peripheral to activities that proceeded our own involvement, such as the implementation of very well known ERP systems, where we have watched companies plan priorities and budget for work on these "systems" that often required years of missed due dates and cost overruns on the order of 5x, or more, of the costs presented in the original sales proposals.

What is worse, we believe, than the massive cost overruns and missed delivery dates of these overarching systems is the impact they had (and will continue to have) on the organizations that chose to implement them.  And, that impact was derived from watching organizations forced to change how they conduct their business in order to accommodate the technology they had purchased, rather than the technology having been properly designed so that it could accommodate the needs of the business.  It is the position of Agidigm that any major IT project, or more broadly, IT technology in general, should be viewed as a Performance Improvement initiative rather than simply a project to deliver "xyz" capability.

We speak to these points above based upon the aggragated experience that we, as Agidigm (both principals and associates), provide to our clients.  All of us who engage directly with our clients have prior experience as internal employees, where we held positions requiring us to deliver solutions under constraints of time and resources.   Additionally, while most of those working at Agidigm have technical backgrounds, we have all been involved in the implementation of new technologies - some IT, some focused on performance improvement at the individual, departmental and organizational levels of the company.

To put it more directly, we have been in your position before, and now offer to you a new approach to implementing technology in the service of improved business performance.

President

When we formed Agidigm, we had a vision of the type of consulting services that we wanted to deliver, and the type of company that we wanted to be.  We did not, however, want to create a grandiose "Vision statement" that would hang on a wall and be ignored by everyone in the company - we have seen this too many times at other companies.  So, instead, we came up with a straight-forward statement that we would share with our customers as easily as we would share with our own associates.   As such, the Vision statement that we created, and that captured the original vision of the founders of Agidigm, is:  "To create a company that will be focused on defining and implementing technology for our customers that will support each individual in the performance of their assigned duties, and to allow the organization they belong to to benefit from this improved performance."

While we believe that we have created a company that reflects our Vision statement, we also recognize that this is only meaningful if that statement can be translated into accomplishments that create value.  It is this creation of value, through the use of technology to support the invididual, and the business as a whole, that we believe creates a unique offering for our clients.
Given the comments above, we also believe that our Mission statement is equally straightforward.   Agidigm's mission is to improve our customer's profitability and productivity through the use of appropriate technology in support of the performance of the individual.
